At some point in the next few weeks, Sapphire would be turning a year old.

It’s… a hollow feeling knowing that someone could be calling me “Mommy” right now, but isn’t.

I wish things were different. I wish I could be Mommy.

Right now I can’t.

I’m probably going to go cry again.

September is hard.

I just wanted to let you know that I still do miss you and I still love you. I think about you all the time. Everything that I do, I do with the knowledge that I’m working towards getting the chance to meet you.

I can’t wait to feel you kick, to hear your heartbeat, to not be able to sleep sometimes because you just won’t lay still. I’m so excited to think that someday, I’ll be able to feel your little fingers wrap around one of mine, to hear your first word, to see your first steps, to watch you grow up into the amazing person I know you’re destined to be. You and your siblings.

I love you and not a day goes by that I don’t think of you, angel.
